Angel Adams Parham is a professor of sociology at the University of Virginia and a senior fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture. Her book, The Black Intellectual Tradition: Reading Freedom in Classical Literature, came out in July 2022 with Classical Academic Press
